Dance for Health Seniors is a new province-wide pilot program from Dance Nova Scotia. Through this initiative, a network of 14 dance and movement instructors across Nova Scotia is being trained to offer Dance for Health: Seniors at the community level.

In these Dance for Health: Seniors classes, our community-based instructors use music, gentle movement, social connection and education in a safe and supportive local setting to help improve the quality of life for those living with Parkinson’s and Dementia, as well as their caregivers.
Dance for Health: Seniors — part of Dance Nova Scotia’s “Dance for Health” suite of programming — is made possible with support from the Province of Nova Scotia’s Age-Friendly Communities grant program and the Canadian New Horizon’s grant program.
