Members of Dance Nova Scotia come from various parts of the community. They may be individuals who are amateur, independent or professional dancers, choreographers, teachers, students or parents of students.

They may also register in the form of community organizations, non-profits, schools, competitions or businesses.

In any instance, they are those who enjoy, appreciate, and support the world of dance in Nova Scotia and its vibrant and diverse community.

Membership Highlights

As a member of Dance Nova Scotia you will receive numerous benefits and opportunities.

Your Dance Nova Scotia membership is an annual membership, valid for one full year, and renews on the anniversary of your start date.

Advocacy
We work with local and provincial organizations and businesses to provide you with cost saving options and discounts

Discounts
We strive to find you cost saving members only discounts on memberships, products, services and more

Programs/Services
We create programs to serve the dance and greater community

We connect you with networking opportunities

We look for opportunities to help you save on your budgets

Promotion
We provide you with communication vehicles to announce your events and share your artistic expression, and much more via social media, newsletter, our website and podcast (Coming Soon)

Support
We work to provide you with helpful resources and bring you educational tools and information

We can assist you with tips for grant writing and for sourcing funding opportunities

Membership Levels

Student/Youth
$10 per year

For full-time students including Post-Secondary (under 24 y/o)

Individuals
$25 per year
Dancers, choreographers, teachers, instructors, fans, hobbyists  etc.

Organizations
$40 per year

Non-profit, community organizations and associations

Dance Groups
$60 per year

Dance studios, companies, schools, competitions etc.

Businesses
$75 per year
Any non-dance businesses, for profit organizations
