International Dance Day is celebrated annually on April 29 to promote the art form, honor its diversity, and highlight its power to connect people worldwide. Created in 1982 by the International Theatre Institute (ITI), the main partner for the performing arts of UNESCO, it marks the birthday of modern ballet creator Jean-Georges Noverre.
The class will start with a body training specially designed for tango dancers. It will be followed by tango technique exercises. Then, skills to enhance presence, theatricality, creativity will be trained and used to interpret a choreographic excerpt. Individual training, no partner needed. The third annual East Coast Feis (ECF) will take place Oct. 3rd and 4th, 2026. CLRG grade exams will also be held during the day on Oct. 2nd, 2026.
